Where the heck do I park?

AVAILABLE PUBLIC PARKING

A question we are asked occasionally is “where can I park when I come into Words Worth”. This is completely a valid question. With the light rail tracks now positioned right outside our front door, it can seem like it’s all gone. Never fear, we have your back. The map above is provided by the city of Waterloo to show all the lots available in the uptown area, as well as which ones are free, when, and the times that permit lots open up to the public.

Don't forget Station Lot off Regina & Willis and the City Hall Lot. There are more than 400 spaces available, and you can park for 2 hours for FREE. Additionally, after 6pm and weekends, parking is not time controlled.

There is also, of course, on street parking, when you can find it, on the opposite side of the street from our front door, as well as at various spots along Regina.

For a detailed rundown on your parking options, please consult this handy guide from the city!

BUSES

Travelling by bus? Well, the closest stops are in front of Waterloo Town Square, if coming from the Universities or Conestoga Mall area, or in front of Home Hardware on King Street if coming from downtown Kitchener. Please consult the GRT Schedule for what bus is right for your needs!

If Regina becomes your street of choice, please remember that Hughes Lane is your alternative access to Words Worth Books. Our door is clearly marked and open for you from 9am to 5pm (or 12 to 5 on Sundays.)

Our store hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm, and Sunday 12pm to 5pm.
